Over 30 years ago, Dr. Kyung Woo Park, a leading neurosurgeon in Seoul, Korea, foresaw long-term problems with certain modern spinal surgical techniques. He set out to find solutions to these problems, even as current therapies became entrenched as standard treatments. Over the past 30 years, Dr. Park has designed and refined two innovative solutions: the PLEF Procedure and the ApostureFlex Functional Spinal Fixation System. After obtaining regulatory approval from the Korean Food and Drug Administration, he was able to treat patients at the Kwanghye Hospital in Seoul, Korea, which he founded. Dr. Park’s innovations provided relief to thousands of patients suffering from various spinal conditions.
